Press and editorial

Coverage that holds up when somebody checks.

Anyone can put a logo on a website. The question a buyer, an investor or a journalist asks next is whether the coverage behind it was earned or bought, and whether the story survives being read properly. We work both routes, and we tell you which one you are getting before anything is arranged.

Gold Label Media acts for companies, brands and the agencies that represent them. We do not take instructions from individuals about personal accounts.

What we run

Four lines of work

Sold separately or as one campaign. Every one of them is quoted as a fixed fee against a written scope before a word is drafted.

01

Press article placement

Featured editorial coverage in trusted outlets. We start from which publications your buyers, partners and diligence teams already read, not from the biggest logo available, then build the piece the editor of that title would actually run.

  • Outlet shortlist built against your market, not a generic media list
  • Angle development: the version of your story that is news to a stranger
  • Draft, quote development and executive review before anything is sent
  • Placement managed end to end, with the earned or paid status stated up front
02

Media outreach

Targeted pitching to named writers on their beat and their timetable, rather than a blast to a purchased list. Journalists remember who wastes their time, and a burned relationship costs more than the placement was worth.

  • Named-journalist targeting by beat and recent output
  • Pitches written per writer, not merged from a template
  • Timed against the news cycle and the publication's own calendar
  • Follow-up handled to a schedule, then stopped, so you are not the client who got a desk blacklisted
03

Online reputation enhancement

Coverage is only half of it. The other half is whether the coverage is what someone finds. Owned properties built to rank, a consistent entity record across the web, and structured data so search engines and AI assistants describe you the way the evidence supports.

  • Entity consistency: the same name, role and description everywhere it is indexed
  • Structured data so a machine reading you gets the facts right
  • Owned assets built to hold position for the searches that matter
  • Coverage placed where it will be found later, not just read once
04

Brand authority campaigns

A sequence rather than a single hit. Coverage, owned assets and executive positioning built to compound, because one article decays and a body of work does not.

  • A campaign arc with a defined narrative, not a list of unrelated placements
  • Executive positioning: the named person a journalist calls for comment
  • Owned assets that give each placement somewhere to point
  • Reporting that separates earned coverage from paid syndication, every time

Told apart, in writing

Earned and paid are not the same thing

Most of the harm in this category comes from selling one as the other. Here is the difference, and you are told which route a placement is on before it is arranged.

Earned

A journalist decided your story was worth writing. No fee to the publication. Slower, never guaranteed, and worth more than anything you can buy, because a reader who checks will find that it was not bought.

  • No payment to the outlet
  • Editor decides, and can decline
  • No control over angle or timing
  • Carries the most weight in diligence

Paid and sponsored

A placement bought from the publisher, labelled as advertising or sponsored content under that publisher's own policy and the FTC's native advertising guidance. Faster, certain, and useful, as long as nobody pretends it is the other thing.

  • Fee paid to the outlet, quoted separately from ours
  • Publication is contracted, subject to editorial standards
  • Labelled by the publisher as advertising
  • Disclosed to you before it is arranged

Some editorial placements are paid or sponsored. Where a placement is paid, the publisher labels it as advertising in line with its own policy and the FTC's native advertising guidance, and we tell you before a placement is arranged whether it is earned or paid.

Newswire distribution is paid syndication, not editorial endorsement. Pickup on aggregators and syndication partners means a release was distributed, not that a journalist chose to write about the subject. We label the difference in every report we send.

Where stories run

Outlets, by what they are for

The right tier depends on who has to believe you. A trade title your market reads beats a consumer title it does not.

National and consumer

Mass-reach titles that a customer, an investor or a journalist recognises without being told what it is. The hardest to earn and the slowest to move.

  • Forbes
  • USA Today
  • Entrepreneur

Business and finance

Where buyers, partners and diligence teams actually look. Usually worth more to a B2B company than a consumer title with ten times the traffic.

  • Yahoo Finance
  • Business Insider
  • Benzinga

Trade and vertical

The publications your market reads and your competitors are quoted in. Narrow, credible, and disproportionately effective when the story is technical.

  • Sector titles by market

Syndication and wire

Distribution across a network of several hundred outlets and aggregators. This is paid syndication, and it is labelled as such everywhere it appears.

  • Digital Journal
  • AP News affiliates

Outlets named are examples of the tier, not a client list and not a guarantee that any named publication will run your story. Editors decide.

What you get

The deliverables, listed

So the engagement is not a black box with an invoice at the end.

  • A written scope naming the target outlet tier, the angle and the fixed fee before any work starts
  • Every draft for your review and approval before it goes to an editor
  • The earned or paid status of every placement, stated in writing before it is arranged
  • Live links as they publish, with the publisher's own label shown as it appears
  • A close report separating earned coverage from paid syndication, with no blended reach figure

How a campaign runs

Five stages

Stages, not promised dates. Editorial timetables belong to editors, and any agency quoting you a publication date for earned coverage is quoting you something it does not control.

  1. 01

    Read

What you do, what has actually changed, and whether there is a story a stranger would care about. If there is not, we say so before you spend anything.

  2. 02

    Scope

Outlet tier, angle, earned or paid, deliverables and a fixed fee, in writing. Third-party publisher costs itemised separately from our fee.

  3. 03

    Build

Angle, draft, quotes and assets. Nothing goes to a journalist until you have approved what it says.

  4. 04

    Place

Pitched to named writers, or arranged with the publisher where the route is paid. Status reported as it moves, including when it stalls.

  5. 05

    Compound

Coverage pointed at owned assets, entity record updated, structured data refreshed, so the placement keeps working after the news cycle ends.

What we decline

The lines we do not cross

At any fee. These are the reasons a matter gets turned down after the free review.

  • We do not guarantee that any named publication will publish. Editors decide, and we will not sell you a decision that is not ours to make.
  • We do not fabricate quotes, credentials, awards or achievements, and we will not place a story built on them.
  • We do not present paid placement as earned coverage, to you or to anyone reading it.
  • We do not remove or suppress true reporting, court records, regulatory findings or lawful journalism.
  • We do not buy followers, views or engagement, and we do not arrange undisclosed paid endorsements.

Platform reviews, verification decisions and editorial decisions are made solely by the platform or publisher. Nothing on this site is a promise, guarantee or prediction of any particular outcome.

Tell us what has changed.

The review is free and it ends in an honest read. If there is no story yet, we will tell you that, and tell you what would have to change before there is one.
